Spring Creek Communicator - September 22, 2023
It has been another great week at Spring Creek Community School! It’s hard to believe it is officially the last day of summer; our students have been enjoying the late summer sunshine at recess.
Terry Fox Run
Thank you to all the Parent Volunteers and the RCMP for coming out and joining our Terry Fox Run! It was a huge success and all of the Spring Creek Bears did amazing! We have raised $373 so far for The Terry Fox Foundation and will leave the Toonies for Terry Jar in the office until Monday if anyone has any more donations. Our goal is $550! Thank you to all those families who have already donated.
Athletics
Our Cross-Country team is underway! This coming week we have a busy one with practice Monday and Wednesday and our first meet on Thursday September 28th here at Spring Creek. We will be looking for parent volunteers to help at the meet. The meet will run from 3:30-5pm and all students who are in Cross Country will bring home a permission form for the meet on Monday after practice.
Truth and Reconciliation:
Spring Creek School will honour the National day of Truth and Reconciliation with a flag raising and school assembly, which will begin in front of the school at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 27. Families are welcome. Remember to wear orange!
PAC Corner:
WELCOME BACK OPEN HOUSE & BBQ
Join staff (including the new principal Karen LaRochelle), students, and parents for an open house and BBQ. The school will be open and teachers will be in the classroom waiting to meet you and share information on the coming year.
The BBQ will be catered by Splitz Grill so be sure to stop by for a Cheese Burger, Beyond Meat Burger, or Street Dog, plus all the Splitz Grill fixings!

- Add each student with their name and their teacher

- Pay online using a credit card via PayPal (checkout as guest)
