Dear families,
Kudos once again for the winter spirit of your children out there playing in the snow-filled wonderland! We have such beautiful grounds to be playing upon and the fresh powder has been lots of fun. This is a very busy time of year with class projects, basketball, theatre practice and much more. Huge thanks to all the staff, parents and community members who make all of this possible!
Some important dates ahead:
*A friendly reminder there is NO hot lunch Monday, January 29. This date was not part of your lunch orders but we wish to remind you so you can make other plans for your child’s lunch on that day.
Monday, January 22: Additional French Immersion Information Session at 5:30 pm in the Library at Spring Creek School. If you are unable to attend and you are interested in enrolling your child in French Immersion, please visit the district web page here for pre-registration.
Cross-country ski field trips are happening! Watch for information from your child’s teacher.
Thursday, January 25th Family Literacy Day 1:00-2:30. For families of primary students. A letter was sent home. Reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Friday, January 26th Professional Development Day, no school in session.
Thursday February 8th
PARENT SESSION: SOCIAL MEDIA AWARENESS, DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP, AND CYBERBULLYING
This is an important, and much needed event as part of a series, which we are delivering to parents, staff and students in order to create a better digital world, which in turn has an influence on our real world and social learning environments. Please, take a look here.

The hot lunch Fall 2023/Winter 2024 session will be wrapping up soon. Ordering for the Winter/Spring session is now available.

BC AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM - DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
SCCS and ELP receive a monthly delivery of fresh fruit or veggies and milk as part of the BC Agriculture in the Classroom program (you can find additional details here https://www.bcaitc.ca/).
If you have time to help with distributing the deliveries please sign up here:

The deliveries take approx. 30 mins to distribute and it is done during long recess.
