Spring Creek Communicator September 29, 2023

Spring Creek updates...

REMINDERS: please be sure to sign and return the media release form and any school supply forms you have yet to send in.

I would like to express a huge thank you to PAC for organizing our 2023 Open House BBQ event with the amazing nourishment from Splitz Grill and Aguas Frescas, who added a wonderful community ambiance to the evening. We had a great turnout, good music and mingling in the courtyard, and informative sessions in the classrooms where families met teachers. This is a great event for families to connect, and to get an overview of classroom information.
Our goal-setting meetings will take place soon, where you can get information on your children's progress and activities at school.

We encourage families to get involved in PAC as volunteers, and continue to help with events that enhance the school experience.

A reminder that Monday is National Truth and Reconciliation Day, no school in session.

We had a lovely gathering for Reconciliation, with knowledge holders and elders: Lakalit (Tanina Williams), Saopalaoz (Lucy Joseph), and Mumsi (Sylvia Shanoss). They travelled to be here with us to raise the Survivors flag, give a blessing and share their knowledge. We are so grateful and we thank them: Kúkwstum̓ckacw

The cross country meet was a success, and lots of fun in the rain! Thanks to Melissa Smith for coordinating such a big event at Spring Creek!

Best wishes to families this weekend.
