Greetings everyone! We wish you a very happy Friday! Please read the updates of our week below, the fun events ahead, and PAC Corner:

We reached a milestone in BEAR PAWS this week! Students earned bear paws for being kind, inclusive, safe and engaged. As a school-wide celebration of all the bear paws earned we are having a music and hot-cocoa event as an extension to recess next Wednesday. We are proud of everyone for all the positive efforts!

Pamoja! Huge thank you to Vickie Swan and Nicole Young for making this happen.

The PA-MOJA club made soccer balls out of recycled plastic and created this amazing fundraising event.  They held a soccer tournament on Thursday, December 7 during our long recess where Kindergarten - gr. 4 students came to participate.  All ages were there to watch and the proceeds from the $2 entry went to support a young Kenyan student with school fees. Thanks for all the support!

We had a lovely afternoon of holiday letter-writing here at Spring Creek on Thursday. It was nice to see some families join in on this tradition. Many families of primary classes attended and we were grateful for big buddy classes too! Much gratitude.

Tuesday, December 12^th is Santa’s Workshop! We are still looking for more donations, items that are new or gently used. The donation box will remain in the front lobby of the school for any last-minute donations on Monday. We are mainly seeking teen and adult donations but children donations are still very welcome. Thank you for your help in making the event a success!

All plants are to be picked up at The Whistler Plant Store (5-1365 Alpha Lake Rd) this Saturday (December 9th) or Sunday (December 10th)

BC AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM - DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

SCCS and ELP receive a monthly delivery of fresh fruit or veggies and milk as part of the BC Agriculture in the Classroom program (you can find additional details here https://www.bcaitc.ca/).

The deliveries take approx. 30 mins to distribute and it is done during long recess.

The hot lunch Fall 2023/Winter 2024 session has officially begun. If you're still wanting hot lunch (or have a student requesting a second slice of pizza) cash sales are available.
