Happy New Year and welcome back to school! We hope you had a wonderful break and are enjoying the snow and sunny skies!

We have been so pleased with the students’ cooperative nature during the cold temperatures. They are still enjoying the outdoors in safe measures and are able to partake in additional indoor activities as well. Many Bear Paws have are added to the draw this week!

Some important dates ahead:

Monday, January 15th

French Immersion Information Session: Monday, January 15th  at 5:00 pm in the Library at Spring Creek School. If you are interested in enrolling your child in French Immersion, you may wish to attend this informative session. If you are interested but unable to attend, please let us know. We can follow up with you or add an additional session if needed. Please visit the district web page here regarding French Immersion.

Cross-country ski field trips are happening soon! Watch for information from your child’s teacher. We are grateful to PAC for sharing the cost with us for this wonderful annual event. You will notice a small charge this year to help cover some of the cost required to make it happen. Any concerns, please let us know! We are happy to answer questions and happy to help out in any way.

Thursday, January 25th Family Literacy Day 1:00-2:30. For families of primary students. Information to follow! We will post next week.

Friday, January 26th Professional Development Day, no school in session.

BC AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM - DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

SCCS and ELP receive a monthly delivery of fresh fruit or veggies and milk as part of the BC Agriculture in the Classroom program (you can find additional details here https://www.bcaitc.ca/).

If you have time to help with distributing the deliveries please sign up here:

The deliveries take approx. 30 mins to distribute and it is done during long recess. 

HOT LUNCH - ORDERING FOR WINTER/SPRING WILL START NEXT WEEK!!!!

The hot lunch Fall 2023/Winter 2024 session will be wrapping up soon. Ordering for the Winter/Spring session will begin next week. 

In the meantime, if you still wanting a hot lunch (or have a student requesting a second slice of pizza) cash sales are available.
