Spring Creek Communicator, December 15, 2023

The Holiday Art GALA was such a beautiful event! Students were proud of their work, proud of each other, and the ambiance of the event was a heart-warming way to ring in some cheer and beauty of the season. On behalf of all the families I spoke with at the event I would like to extend our gratitude to Ms. Palmer, who always makes a massive effort to make these events wonderful. A huge thank you to the tech crews, students who performed and helped organize, and the professional lighting work that was done to create the magic.

PA-MOJA!

On December 8th , the PA-MOJA Club held its 3rd annual “Kenyadian” Soccer Tournament on Friday, December 8.  Four teams participated, Kenya, Ukraine, Canada and Blueberia (the Blueberry team). An amazing time was had by all. A huge thank you to all participants, students and parents who came to cheer.  The PA-MOJA Club raised $73 at this event.

On Thursday, December 14th , the Spring Creek PA-MOJA Club had an online Google Meet with 3 Kenyan students.  Our group did an amazing job asking great questions about food, school, holidays and animals in Kenya.  Our group sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to them and in turn, we listened to them sing a beautiful Bano song.

If your child is in PA-MOJA Club, please ask them about this great experience.

Ms. Winter's class enjoyed a visit from the Whistler Secondary School Psychology 12 class this week. The students paired together to create beautiful holiday cards for seniors living in a care home in Vancouver. Spreading joy!

  • December 20 Intermediate Cookie contest 12:00-1:00
