Spring Creek Communicator - March 15, 2024
Greetings to Spring Creek families and Happy Spring Break everyone!
We want to congratulate all students on their wonderful accomplishments as cast and crew of the amazing production of Aladdin, the musical. We thank especially Deann Palmer as well as Evelyn Graham, Darcy Roberts and Lindsay McAllister for all the hard work in leading the kids through this process. Ms. Palmer’s passion and expertise as a director and educator never ceases to amaze us all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Students were very excited to take part in the reading challenge this week as well. Be sure to ask your child about their participation. Thank you Sara Leach, for all the inspiration!
We continue to celebrate parents and teachers who do so much work as coaches, recently in basketball with the recent and very exciting games. Thank you once again to Jackie and Josh for coaching! Soon Ms. Smith will have more to report on upcoming Track and Field. We are so fortunate!
The team at Whistler Community Services Society has created a Spring Break Activity Sheet for families to do over the Spring Break. This includes a contest closes Sunday, March 31st. Click on link here

ALADDIN PLAY 50/50 - THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to sell tickets (and of course thank you to everyone who purchased tickets). PAC was able to raise $775 to put towards future arts programing.

BC AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM - DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
SCCS and ELP receive a monthly delivery of fresh fruit or veggies and milk as part of the BC Agriculture in the Classroom program (you can find additional details here https://www.bcaitc.ca/).
If you have time to help with distributing the deliveries please sign up here:

The deliveries take approx. 30 mins to distribute and it is done during long recess (lunch time) with the help of grade 6 and grade 7 students.
HOT LUNCH - CASH SALES ALWAYS AVAILABLE!
A friendly reminder that hot lunch is always available for purchase the day of. Maybe your student wants to try one of our new menu items or wants an extra slice of pizza on Wednesday? We have you covered!
****Remember, SCCS hot lunch program is the biggest PAC fundraiser we have!!!!**
