Spring Creek Communicator May 03, 2024
This is an exciting week with the alumni staff celebrations of the 20th Anniversary of Spring Creek School, soon to be followed by the community celebration hosted by PAC on May 11th.
It was also a great week to be a Spring Creek Bear! We celebrated reaching another landmark in the bear paws, which now reach all the way down our hallway of the school (see photos). We had an assembly to celebrate what students have been doing to contribute to a place of kindness, inclusion, safety and engagement. We are so grateful to students and families for their contributions to this learning environment. We also set some goals to get even better at using our words to demonstrate kindness towards others. Students agreed that you attract the energy you give, so spread good vibes!
We are sending out a huge thank you to Aguas Frescas and Camilla’s family for the amazing treat that we shared at our extended recess to celebrate!
This week the students of Ms. Aboussafy and Ms. Black’s class hosted their families, along with the district Superintendent and Associate Superintendent, to see their amazing projects on community. They worked so hard on the whole process for a deep understanding of community and have become a very kind and engaged classroom community themselves! Great work! Take a look at the photos.

May 10 Friday – School-Based Professional Day (No School for Kids)
May 11 Saturday – Community Celebration of Spring Creek Community School’s 20th anniversary

Did you know that SCCS is celebrating 20 years!!! Join us for this community celebration with a DJ Ira dance party, cake, and dunk tank (funds raised from the dunk tank will go towards the Furnishing The Future iniative).

A friendly reminder that hot lunch is always available for purchase the day of. Maybe your student wants to try one of our new menu items or wants an extra slice of pizza on Wednesday? We have you covered!
