Greetings Spring Creek Elementary Families,

I hope this week’s newsletter finds you well as we begin to “thaw out” from the cold. A huge thanks to families for ensuring students are adequately dressed for the weather. Having the opportunity to get outside and play and get some fresh air helps the learning throughout the day.

There’s lots happening as we head towards Spring Break. Please take a moment to review the upcoming events at our school:

We are excited to announce that our next bake sale will take place on Wednesday, February 12th, along with a special twist—candygrams!

Bake Sale Details:

• The Bake Sale will run as usual, with classes being called up after lunch.
• Only students with money will be able to attend.
• All treats will be priced between $2 and $6.

Candygrams—small goody bags filled with an assortment of treats—will be sold directly at the bake sale. Students who purchase a Candygram will personally deliver it to the recipient right away (younger students will be accompanied by a Grade 6/7 helper), rather than the candygrams being delivered/handed out to classes the next day. This change ensures that all students can enjoy their goodies without the worry of feeling left out, while still giving students the option of surprising their friends with a special treat! Of course, students are also welcome to buy candygrams for themselves or simply enjoy the selection of treats available at the Bake Sale.
