Dec 06, 2024 - Spring Creek Communicator
Good afternoon Spring Creek!
What a great way to finish the week with our Holiday Writing Day! It was a pleasure to have so many parents join us to help students write letters and cards for the holidays. Thanks to Ms. Leach for organizing a great afternoon. We hope everyone has a fabulous weekend full of many Eras.... here are ours:
Bear Paw Era
Congratulations to Zanaya & Tabatha for winning the elusive Bear Paw Draw this week! Zanaya for being Inclusive & Taby for being engaged and pushing herself to perform!
Bear Paws are given out by teachers who notice students who are displaying our Spring Creek values of being: Kind, Inclusive, Safe, & Engaged. These are entered in jars for Grades K-3 and Grades 4-7. We draw one from each jar every Friday. Congratulations to all students who were entered to win this week. Let's see how many we can collect in the next two weeks....!

Lost & Found Era
Our lost and found is filling up! We have moved the Lost & Found to outside the front doors of the school so you are able to swing by at any time to check if anything has been left behind! Your last chance to grab any lost items will be Dec 19th at the Winter Concert. All items remaining will be washed and donated.

Countdown Era
The countdown to Winter Holidays is on! With two weeks remaining we are making sure to remind our students (despite all the excitement) we are still expected to walk (quietly) in the halls!
Absent Era
With that being said, some families are off early for their winter vacation. Please make sure to notify the teacher AND [email protected] of any absences. The clerical is able to enter the longer absences in advance, and the teachers should be aware of any extended absences for planning.

Field Trip Era
We have quite a few field trips next week with classes heading out to go skating in the village and at Meadow Park Sports Center, and the first of our groups will be heading to the Callaghan for cross-country skiing on Weds. Check with your students to make sure all forms have been signed and any fees have been paid. If ever, your child wants to attend but cost is a barrier, please send an email to [email protected] and we will be sure to find a way to help!
