Oct 04, 2024 - Spring Creek Communicator

It’s a cozy Friday here at Spring Creek after a bustling week of activities. Stem projects, the Student Vote start-up and candidates visit, outdoor field trips, Cross Country running meet, and a fire drill in the sunshine are among some of the highlights. We also observed the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Monday. Our assembly last Thursday was very engaging and we thank our honoured guest, Georgina, Indigenous Cultural Ambassador of the Squamish-Lil’wat Cultural Centre, for sharing the special day with us (see photos).

We are so grateful to Chef Glenn and parent helpers of the hot lunch program, getting us off to a great start this year. This is such a positive addition to the school and a great boost in a student’s day. We are still in need of volunteers to help with all forms of PAC initiatives so please scroll to PAC Corner for more information.

We extend tremendous thanks to all the people who helped make the Cross Country meet a success: Melissa Smith, Mindy McNamara, Chris Cheetham, Ian Keen, Maggie Hertz, Suzy Bates, Eric Persson, Joe Hertz, Alex Brooks-Hill, Mme. Elizabeth, Audra Williams, Ann Chua, Yvonne Numan, Myrtle Phillip parents and Whistler Secondary students! Your support means a lot to us!
